# Interface: FixedBlockDefinition

A block the component's own code places with `<Block of={blocks} name>`:
an editor changes its fields and fills its slots, but never removes, moves,
duplicates or hides it. It renders even when the document does not store it.

## Properties

### label?

Editor-facing name; the type's label when absent.

Lowercase kebab-case, unique among the component's fixed blocks.
