# Function: setInstanceProps()

> **setInstanceProps**(`theme`, `page`, `id`, `changes`): [`DocumentEdit`](../type-aliases/DocumentEdit)

Change an instance's props — a fixed block's too: each value is checked by
its field; `undefined` removes the stored value, so the field falls back to
its content-pack text or default.
