# Function: showsWidgetOn()

> **showsWidgetOn**(`surfaces`, `rawPathname`): `boolean`

Whether the widget belongs on a pathname: the merchant answers "which
surfaces" (`surfaces[surface]`); this answers which surface a pathname *is*,
from the page types above. Any other path — a 404, `/productsomething`,
`/checkout-success` — is no surface at all, never a prefix match that leaks
the widget onto a page the merchant switched off.
