# Function: countdownTarget()

> **countdownTarget**(`mode`, `endsOn`, `endsAt`): `string`

What a countdown's settings count to: `mode` `midnight` or `date`, the
day the merchant typed (`YYYY-MM-DD`) and, optionally, the time
(`HH:MM`). Undefined when they count to nothing — no day for `date`, or
any other mode.
